Bentonville, Ark. (Vocus) December 21, 2010
Sam’s Club and Off The Field professional football players’ wives association came together Thursday, December 16 to host the Fourth Annual Dream Drive for The Salvation Army and its Adopt-a-Family program. This year, 100 families across the country each received $ 1,000 worth of food and holiday gifts from Sam’s Club to help make their holiday season brighter. Gifts included clothes, personal items, electronics and toys.
“Sam’s Club is excited to have once again partnered with The Salvation Army and Off The Field,” said Sharon Orlopp, senior vice president of People at Sam’s Club. “Dream Drive brightened the holiday spirit for 100 deserving families by providing them with the food, gifts and other essentials on their wish list to help make this year’s holiday memorable.”
Dream Drive Benefits Families from Across the Nation
This year, Sam’s Club and The Salvation Army were joined by Off The Field volunteers Roxi McNabb in Washington, D.C., Denise Clark in Chicago and Sherice Brown in Dallas. Dream Drive was held at the following Sam’s Club locations: Baltimore; Chicago; Cincinnati; Dallas; Houston; Miami; Philadelphia; Phoenix; San Francisco/Oakland and Washington, D.C.
“Being a part of this year’s Dream Drive was such a wonderful and rewarding experience for all of the volunteers involved,” said Ericka Lassiter, Off The Field president. “Sam’s Club and The Salvation Army have helped us make a difference in the lives of so many families across the country during this critical time of year.”
